• Mindfulness, a key element to happiness and well-being

  • In this busy world of ours, the mind is constantly pulled from pillar to post, scattering our thoughts and emotions and leaving us feeling stressedexhausted, highly-strung and at times quite anxious.

Most of us don’t have five minutes to sit down and relax, but it is essential for our wellbeing to take a few minutes each day to cultivate mental spaciousness and achieve a positive mind-body balance.

One of the best methods to help us strive in this world of ours is definitely Mindfulness

Mindfulness as a moment-to-moment awareness of one's experience without judgment. Mindfulness is a state of active attention to the moment you are in.

With regular practice of mindfulness, rather than being led on auto-pilot by emotions influenced by negative past experiences and fears of future occurrences, we harness the ability to root the mind in the present moment and deal with life’s challenges in a clear-minded, calm, assertive way.

In turn, we develop a fully conscious mind-set that frees us from the imprisonment of unhelpful, self-limiting thought patterns and enables us to be fully present to focus on positive emotions that increase compassion and understanding in ourselves and others.

Countless high-performers, from athletes to celebrities to business moguls, swear by mindfulness nowadays.

  • "In mindfulness meditation you observe the inner flow of thoughts, emotions and bodily sensations without judging them as good or bad. You also pay attention to external sensations such as sounds, sights, tastes, smells and touch. Mindfulness involves accepting whatever arises in your awareness in each moment. It teaches you to be kind and forgiving toward yourself and others. "

  • Testimonials

"I have never tried to meditate before, but then at one point I decided to join the mindfulness class with Polona to experience something new.

I was extremely satisfied after the first meditation class already as I instantly felt very positive effects. I felt so light and my sleep at night was incredibly peaceful. I was able to define sensations in my body and feel them intensively as never before.

First I thought “One and a half hour of meditation - how will I manage to sit still and concentrate for such a long time?” However, when Polona announced the end of first meditation class, I found myself surprised that time passed by so quickly.

I like the fact that we pay so much attention to our bodies during the meditation class because I think that our body represents the most important factor in our life. Without a healthy body you can not function properly, therefore it is essential to learn and to listen to it’s messages and attune to it."

"I very much enjoyed Polona’s mindfulness meditation classes. I experienced joy and inner peace. I reconnected with myself, which is something that is  very hard to do in today’s quick pace of life. I felt very cosy and safe."

    Mirna Smolej, physiotherapist (Slovenia)

"I am so grateful to get to know you Polona. You enriched my life with your energy and with your knowledge. I had my first mindfulness meditation experience with you.

I did not have any expectations prior to attending meditation. I just surrendered. What I liked the most was definitely the conversation after the meditation class. I liked the fact that we were able to share all of our thoughts, views and beliefs sincerely, without hesitation or judgements. This is a perfect combination. Meditation class calms me down and conversation afterwards fills me with energy."
